Keeping the law is impossible; God wants you to realize that His law is so strict that we will never keep it by trying to by good.
However you can have forgiveness by trusting in the works of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 3:24  Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

This verse states that the law was to teach (schoolmaster) us that we must trust Christ by faith for our sins to be forgiven.
First  -  You must understand that you do need forgiveness with God.
How can anyone say they have lived their life perfectly according to the word of God?
We must make peace with God because:

·
We have not done our best our entire life!
·
We have not always done what God commands in His word!
·
We do not regularly honor and thank God for who He is and what He has done!
·
We have and do sin against God!
We do not live our lives by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ!

Here are some of  God’s commands that we have broken.
Please agree with God that you are a sinner.
Psalms 14:1-3  The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.  2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.  3  They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Romans 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Most important!
·
Religion or good works cannot save you.
·
What we need is reconciliation with God whom we have offended by our sin.
·
God requires that we can only do one thing.
·
We must come to him by His terms only.
Second  -  You must trust that God provided forgiveness through His Son.

·
God made the way for you to be forgiven, by coming to earth and dying for your sins Himself.  John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
·
Jesus Christ, God’s Son willingly suffered and died on a cross in your place.   Romans 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
·
After being buried for three days Christ was resurrected from the dead. Acts 1:3  ...He showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs...
·
Christ’s death, burial and resurrection paid your sin debt. Romans 4:25  Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification.
Believing that these things are true is not enough
for you to be forgiven by God.
Third  - You must trust God’s Promise that we can have life through Christ.

·
Here are some of God’s promises that anyone who trust Christ can be saved.

John 3:36  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 5:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Romans 10:9-13  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Question:
On who are you trusting to be accepted by God?
What or who is your faith in?
Is your faith and trust in yourself or the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:1-2  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 10:2-3 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
